| Journey Note ~ 03-07-02: Negative feelings can put us in a mental prison and ruin our lives. I have never met anyone who convinced me that they enjoyed being miserable. There is a way to change your thought life, your outlook, and your response to circumstances. Concentrate on God and why He put you here on this earth: to fellowship with Him in love and devotion; and to share His love unconditionally with others. The more we live for others, the more we live for Him - and the more blessed we will be as a result. The "joy of the Lord" comes to those who desire and work to grow in knowledge, love and obedience to the One who deserves our undivided love. Serve the Lord with gladness - be blessed not spoiled. We need to serve God and not "self" -- the only thing we will get for serving self is unfulfillment and misery. We were designed for greater things. |
